Thank you for taking the time to visit my page. I am a not-so-native Okie who has lived in Texas most of my life, but I have also lived (in no particular order) in Oklahoma, California, Arizona, New Hampshire, Israel, all over DFW and Houston. My family and I moved to Providence Village in July 2022 after falling in love with the New England design of the homes that reminded us of our time in New Hampshire.
My partner in crime over the past 20 years is John and we share a brilliant 17 year old who attends the Texas Academy of Math and Science at UNT. John and I met at the University of Oklahoma where I majored in Religious Studies with a minor in Judaic Studies. After college, we moved down to DFW where I started a career in Mortgage Servicing. We moved all over the country over the years, but in 2019 we decided to come back to DFW to settle in our forever home. At that time, our close friends encouraged us to look at buying a home here and we fell in love with the town immediately.
After a prior failed attempt, we found our dream home on Providence Lake and never looked back! You may have seen me in my yard doing some garden therapy or John and I walking our 2 dogs, Echo (a 10 year old Labradoodle) and Remy (a 2 year old Belgian Malinois). Since we moved here, John, Kai and I have developed our own personal community where we have celebrated fireworks at the lake, listened to concerts at the park, joined the lighting of the Christmas Tree (and Menorah thanks to the efforts of the town!), parades on Main and so much more.
Residents serve this town and work hard to put on these amazing events and I hope to be able to serve you in the same way.
Our founding residents worked hard to create a tight-knit community where we support each other through the good times and the bad. We help bring food to the hungry, provide last minute dog watching or childcare, raise funds or supplies after crisis, and the list goes on. We wave and say “hi” as we walk through the neighborhood.

As our town grows into multiple neighborhoods and HOAs, Providence Village needs a community center and general recreation area. By cementing a dedicated space to the people of the town, we can bring the community together and host a variety of activities to support all townspeople.
I especially hope to establish a Community Garden where all residents can come together to grow vegetables, fruit, and flowers for everyone to enjoy. From my experience, gardening fosters connection and unity, transcending differences in politics, religion, ethnicity, culture, and economics.

By investing in small businesses, Providence Village is not only fostering local growth but also creating a thriving, vibrant community. This investment ensures that businesses succeed, residents have access to unique services and products, and the overall economy of our village flourishes. It’s a win-win for everyone involved—strengthening the backbone of our community while supporting sustainable growth for the future.
I have heard you. We don’t want another car wash, gas station or McDonald’s. We want a local coffee shop in a storefront (I’m looking at you, Sister Friends!), a pub or brunch eaterie. We want a gazebo and trees and a town square!

Providence Village has made strides in recent years to improve the safety of all residents, but there are communities sorely lacking in street lights that can provide relief from small crime such as vandalism and theft. All trails and parks should have solar lighting in place to accommodate recreational use in early morning and evening hours.
Adding streetlights can help decrease crime by improving visibility and deterring criminal activity, making public spaces safer for everyone.
The Council must ensure that as we prepare for more residential and commercial growth, we first establish the proper infrastructure. Businesses and developers are more likely to invest in areas where infrastructure is reliable, reducing risk and encouraging sustainable long-term growth.
I will do my best to answer within 3 business days.
